Do you need to lose weight? Get paid to do it!

If you have 4% of your body weight or more you would like to lose and you want to make some extra money in the process, you should try to kickstart your weight loss with a DietBet.

I have done five DietBets so far. The bets I have joined have been between $30 to $35 original bet. When you join a game you bet on yourself! I have done kickstarter games where you bet you will lose 4% of your original weight in 28 days. There is also a transformer where you bet to lose 10% in 6 months.

Your bet is put into a pot together with the bets of the other players joining a game. If you reach your goal by the end of the game and after submitting your final weigh-in you are declared a winner, you get your original bet back and some extra money depending on how many people won. The pot is split among the winners after DietBet takes it's cut. (By the way, if all the players lose weight, DietBet forfeits their cut and you get your bet back. Money back guaranteed if you reach your goal!)

The amount of money that I have made in each DietBet ranges between $5.62 and $16.78. Losing weigh + extra money = Win-Win!!

If money is a great motivator for you, I am sure you will succeed in your weight loss!

Today I joined another game and it's not too late to join me! http://dbet.me/B1X2DP

Let's lose weight and make extra money together!!

Adding up the savings

A few days ago randomly searching online I found Cardpool, a website to buy and sell discounted gift cards for several merchants.

Ever since then I have been adding up the savings on expenses that I needed to incur:

Wedding gifts

I had to buy two wedding gifts to buy. I checked the couples' registries. One was at Macy's, the other at Target. First, I checked what they had on their registry that was on sale. I proceeded to check out to see how much I needed to pay and went to Cardpool to buy the gift cards for the total of the gift.

The gift from Target scored the best deal. It was for $99.99. The store had a 15% discount for items over $75.00 and free shipping for deliveries over $50.00. The total after taxes was $90.94. I bought four electronic cards at Cardpool with a 4.5% discount. The total paid for the cards was $85.94. I paid the balance of $0.94 with a credit card. A $99.99 gift for $85.88! Good, right?

Birthday gift

I went to Toy R Us to get something for my eight-year old niece. While searching I found an item originally priced at $49.99 on sale for $29.99. Perfect! After taxes the total was $32.16. I bought a $30.00 electronic card at Cardpool that arrived in a few hours and I used to pay for a portion of the gift and the balance on credit card. The discount for the Toy R Us gift card was 9.0%. I paid $27.30 for it. A $49.99 gift for $29.46!

In addition to the discounted cards I have bought to add savings in my household. I also bought a card for my mother-in-law. She shops at Walmart every weekend and spends about $50-$60 a week. The discount for Walmart is 3%, which means she could save about $1.50- $1.80 per week. If we get one of those discounted cards for her to use every week, she could save between $78.00 and $93.60 annually. Every saving counts!!

Do you want to give Cardpool a try? If you use this link:  http://refer.cardpool.com/v2/share/6280122156769094791 you will get a code that will deduct $5.00 off your first order.

Happy savings!
